Does crafting with plants make us happier and more connected to nature? Led by Tanja Beer, these workshops are an art-science investigation into the value of ‘botanical crafting’ to facilitate ecological connection, specifically through the art of kokedama – a Japanese technique of wrapping plants in moss and string, transforming them into a sculptural art piece.
Be part of this unique experiment and explore the benefits of crafting with nature. Your creations and responses will be displayed in Refugium (WA) – an art installation in the Perth Cultural Centre for the KickstART Festival Day.
WHEN: Sunday 2 April, 10.00 – 11.30am, 12.00 – 1.30pm & 2.00 – 3.30pm
WHERE: Scitech CSIRO Lab
