This year’s Literary Youth Festival (LYF) will be documented in a Book of LYF that will be published immediately after the festival, in collaboration with Avenoir magazine. The book will include creative work from the workshops, photos from the events, and a fresh retrospective on the LYF that was.
Once More with Avenoir is a chance to catch up and look towards the future, to share stories of the festival, and think of our LYFs to come.
WHEN: Saturday 22 April, 6.30 – 8.30pm
WHERE: Paper Mountain
ABOUT THE LITERARY YOUTH FESTIVAL (LYF)
The Literary Youth Festival (LYF) is the first youth-led festival of literature in Western Australia, run by young people in the Literary Youth Festival Planning Subcommittee of National Youth Week.
LYF seeks to raise the voices of young poets, bloggers, playwrights, graphic novelists, novelists and performers. LYF is about creating more opportunities for young aspiring writers nourishing of a literary movement in WA.
This initiative, like many literary ventures in WA, would not be possible without the tireless work of people within the literary community – along with organisations such as WritingWA, The Centre for Stories and Spoken Word Perth – all of whom are constantly making magic happen in the sometimes literal but always literary sense.
