Propel Youth Arts WA is the peak body for youth arts in Western Australia dedicated to creating opportunities for young people to engage in the Arts.

Established in 2003, Propel is a membership-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of programs and services across all art forms.

From contemporary dance to photography, music to design, theatre to visual art – creative activity in all shapes and sizes is celebrated here.

Our work is focused on arts advocacy, skills development and access to opportunities, for those already engaged in the arts and those who would like to be.

Propel Youth Arts WA is supported by the Government of Western Australia through the Department of Culture and the Arts, Australia Council for the Arts, Foundation for Young Australians, Healthway to promote the Drug Aware Message, The Ian Potter Foundation and Squire Sanders Youth Arts Foundation.

• Core Services including support, information, referral and advocacy for the youth arts sector

• Website with youth arts resources and fortnightly E-zine

• Amplifier a series of Arts Business Workshops providing skills development for 18 – 25 year olds

• ArtsCAMP a week long creative experience for 15 – 17 year olds

• JUMP a National Mentoring Program for Young and Emerging Artists aged 18 – 30 years

• Pollinate arts networking forums – a platform for young artists and artsworkers to connect, express and discuss art forms and issues

• YCulture Metro a project funding and skills development initiative providing arts grants of up to $3000

• Home Is Where My Heart Is an annual photographic project partnering young homeless people with a professional photographer

• National Youth Week is the single largest celebration of young people on the Australian youth calendar. The WA National Youth Week (NYW) Launch is an annual event celebrating the creativity and talent of young people aged 12 – 26 years.
