I’m your typical arty farty, head in the clouds, always dreaming story. With an almost painful love for everything cute and fluffy, my art tends to be of the sickly sweet variety. Much like my diet.
Not surprisingly, with taste like mine I tend to “click” better with small children than I do with most adults – apparently they find me rather entertaining! Which is handy as I’m currently studying to be a Teachers Aide, to help me through my “starving artist” period.
I run a small business called Artemiss Creations, designing and hand-making greeting cards online. It’s still in its early days yet, but I’m hoping to branch out into a wider range of products and to infiltrate the retail market as soon as possible!

WHAT ONE PIECE OF ADVICE DO YOU WISH SOMEONE HAD GIVEN YOU WHEN STARTING OUT?
I’m sort of still in the “starting out” phase, but I guess it would have been nice to be told that A grades in High School do not equal an easy walk through life. Your exams /are/ important, but it’s the contacts you keep that really get you places. Make a network and keep in touch with those people – your name is your calling card. If people don’t know who you are, how will they ever find you?

WHO OR WHAT IN AUSTRALIA, HAS INSPIRED YOU RECENTLY?
Ooooh, that’s a tough one! I’m a bit of a magpie, so every time I see something pretty, unusual or shiny it gets put into my memory bank of “cool things to use as inspiration at some point”. And there are a lot of things out there like that…so I can’t really give you a one-word answer on that!
