Dancing with Tim
Newly appointed ReelDance Director, Tracie Mitchell, is coming to Perth to talk about the ReelDance program for 2010 and her vision for the organisation.
This CINEMOVES program screens Tracie Mitchell’s acclaimed works including Sure, Threat, Chicken, Dance, Hur and Whole Heart before Tracie opens discussion with the audience about her vision for the sector.
Tracie Mitchell’s career as a celebrated film director, choreographer, producer and distributor spans 20 years. Her award winning works have been selected for official screenings worldwide as well as being part of major catalogue collections such as Tanz Museum in Cologne, la Cinémathèque de la Danse in Paris and Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne.
With Christmas around the corner it will be a lovely chance for people in the dance and film industry to meet before the end of the year to discuss and engage with all things dance screen.
ReelDance supports innovative creative practice that works across disciplinary boundaries at the cutting edge of dance, film and new media art and provides a forum for dance screen culture. Their flagship event is the biennial ReelDance International Dance on Screen Festival and its allied tour across Australia and New Zealand.
