City of South Perth Emerging Artist Award 2010 21/07/10 to 22/11/10
Are you an artist looking for an opportunity to showcase your talents to a wider audience? If so, the City of South Perth is calling for registrations for its annual Emerging Artist Award.
The Emerging Artist Award is a great opportunity for many different types of artists to be recognised for their work. Limited to one per artist, entries can be 2D, such as paintings or photography, or 3D such as sculpture.
The prizes for the individual award categories in 2010 are very generous and include:
- $4,000 City of South Perth Emerging Artist Award (Acquisitive)
- $500 Como IGA Best Work on a Local Theme Award
- $500 MillPoint Caffe Bookshop Young Artist Award
- $500 John McGrath MLA Best Local Artist Award
- $500 Karalee on Preston Peoples Choice Award

Selected works will be exhibited at Heritage House Cultural Centre between Thursday 28 October to Sunday 21 November 2010.
Important Dates:
- Entries Open: Tuesday 24 August
- Entries Close: 4.30pm Friday 8 October
- Selected Entrants Notified: Friday 15 & Monday 18 October
- Delivery of Selected Artworks: Thursday 21 & Friday 22 October (10am – 6pm)
- Exhibition Launch & Awards Presentation: 6.30pm Wednesday 27 October
- Exhibition (Open to the Public): Thursday 28 October – Sunday 21 November
- Collection of Unsold Works
9 am – 6 pm Monday 22 November

- ENTRY FEE: $15 General Admission or $10 Youth (Under 25yrs)
- WHERE: Heritage House Cultural Centre

- OPENING HOURS: 10 am – 4 pm Tuesday – Friday and 1 pm – 4 pm Saturday & Sunday
