RTRFM Radiothon 2010 21/08/10 to 28/08/10

RTRFM‘s annual Radiothon Subscription Drive is on again.

Subscription is vital to the survival of RTRFM, and the money raised by Radiothon makes up almost a quarter of RTRFM‘s annual budget. RTRFM is an independent radio station and receives no funding from government or institutions.

Subscribing during Radiothon 2010 will put you in the draw to win some awesome prizes including a Bali Beach Bonanza including return flights and 4 night’s accommodation at The Breezes Bali Resort and Spa thanks to Asia Escape Holidays.

To celebrate Radiothon 2010, RTRFM is throwing two massive parties to celebrate: The 2010 Radiothon Opening Party and The 2010 Radiothon Closing Party.

The Opening Party will feature local artists Boys, Boys, Boys, The Voltaire Twins, The Brow Horn Orchestra, Milly James and MC for the night Tomas Ford. Upstairs, in the candy bar, some of Perth’s best DJ’s will be spinning some tunes including Diger Rokwell, Mama Cass, Charlie Bucket and RTRFM‘s very own Sardi and Ben Elliott. Plus, the upstairs cinema will become a chill out room with experimental sounds from Craigh McElhinney, Mystic Eyes, Rabbit Island, and Gilbert Fawn.

The Radiothon Closing Party has a huge roster of local talent which will be spread across three spaces at the Rosemount Hotel. The main stage acts include Harlequin League, The Tigers, Will Stoker and the Embers, Young Revelry and Wolves at the Door. Perth’s finest acoustic and solo acts will be playing in the 459 Bar, including Fall Electric, Adem K, Hayley Beth, Ghostdrums and James Teague. And to cap it all off, outside in the beer garden RTRFM’s own Sarah Tout, Gemma Pike, Sarah Delfante and Jack Midalia will be spinning the latest indie tunes.
