Australian Fabian Young Writers Competition 16/09/09

by Writing WA

Will your bright idea take you to London? The Young Writers Competition is open to 18-28 year old Australians who have progressive and practical solutions to the big issues facing Australia today and can communicate that idea in a 700–1000 word opinion piece. This year’s optional theme is “What does it mean in practice to be a progressive policymaker in Australia?”, but if preferred, you can write on any issue facing Australia that you choose. The winner will receive a free flight to London to undertake an internship at Demos, a leading UK think tank, and have their winning entry published in The Australian.
