New federal funding youth development and support program 14/10/09

The Australian Government’s Youth Development and Support Program funding round for 2009-10 is now open.

The Program will make funding available to eligible non-government, not-for-profit organisations to support the delivery of a range of small-scale projects that aim to inspire and encourage young people aged between 12 and 25 years, to engage with government and their community.

The focus of the Program is to support events or activities that:

  • Provide development opportunities that are meaningful and worthwhile;
  • Encourage engagement and participation in the wider community; and
  • Build on the skill capacity of young people.

Organisations have until Wednesday, 4 November 2009 to apply for funding.
