Arts Grant Information Session for artists and artsworkers 14/10/09

by Elaine Ruddy

Is the Arts Development Panel the right panel for you?
Project officers from the DCA will deliver an information session to answer these questions and more. They will provide advice that may assist you in developing an application for grant funding.

  • Thinking about applying for an arts grant for the first time?
  • Thinking about applying again and need a quick refresher?
  • Looking to get a heads up on the application process?
  • Need a start on how to approach answering the all important questions 1 & 2?
  • What is artistic merit and how can you apply it to a community cultural development project?
  • A bit daunted by creating a budget?
  • What is in-kind anyway?
  • How does the peer assessment process actually work?

Next closing date for Arts Development funding is February 26th 2010.

Indigenous artists and arts workers are encouraged to come along. The next closing date for application to the Indigenous Panel is Friday 26th March 2010.

  • WHEN: Tuesday 24th November 2009, 5:30pm for 6pm start
  • WHERE: Meeting Room 1, King Street Arts Centre, 357 Murray Street, Perth. Coffee and tea provided.
  • Please RSVP to: dsdadmin@dca.wa.gov.au or by phone to Elaine Ruddy 9224 7333

If you are an artist 25 years and under you are welcome to attend. However, this session is not targeting Young People and the Arts applicants. You should contact DCA’s Young People and the Arts officers for further information about programs that may suit a future proposal.

Please note: this session is not designed to replace the expectation on an applicant to contact the relevant project officer when developing an application.
