ArtLab: Funding for Creative Risk-Takers 8/11/09
The Australia Council’s ArtLab funding program supports research and creative development projects that cross artistic boundaries and push the limits of artistic expression.
The idea behind ArtLab is to encourage experimentation, collaboration and exploration of new creative frontiers.
In short, it’s funding that goes toward testing and breaking through artistic barriers by thinking outside of the square, putting unlikely artforms, individuals and enterprises together and taking risks in the pursuit of imaginative and exceptional outcomes.
The Council is looking for radical thinking, brand-spanking new ideas and exciting artistic partnerships. If you’re into experimentation, unpredictability and have a burning desire to explore, experiment and create something anarchic and artistically different, then this sort of funding may well suit you.
Head to the Australia Council website for full details and guidelines.
Applications close 7 December 2009.
