Arts & Cultural Events Scheme applications open 25/11/09

Eventscorp’s Arts and Cultural Events (ACE) Scheme is designed to assist with the development of significant arts and cultural events in Western Australia, with the aim of supporting Western Australia’s national and international profile as a leading and vibrant event and tourism destination.

An amount of $430,000 remains in the ACE Scheme pool for allocation of the 2010/11 period. It is envisaged this remaining allocation will support two or three events.

The scheme is designed to assist new and established events that:

  • Are able to demonstrate innovative and creative ways to elevate their event to a national and/or international level;
  • Have a considerable degree of prestige;
  • Have a high level of community support; and
  • Contribute positively to the status and profile of Western Australia as a dynamic event and tourism destination.

Applications for Eventscorp’s 2010/11 Arts and Cultural Events Scheme close 4pm, 12th February 2010 for events commencing between the 1st July 2010 and 30th June 2011.

The successful ACE Scheme applicants for the 2008/09 and 2009/10 periods were:

  • Perth Fashion Festival (2008 and 2009)
  • Sculpture by the Sea (2009 and 2010)
  • Fremantle Street Arts Festival (2009 and 2010)
  • Revelation Film Festival (2009 and 2010)
  • FotoFreo (2010)
