JOIN THE PROPEL YOUTH ARTS WA BOARD IN 2016

It's coming up to Annual General Meeting time in April and so here is your chance to nominate to join the Propel Board!

All Propel members are eligible to apply to join the Board if they have been members of Propel Youth Arts WA for a minimum of one month as at Sunday 27 March 2016.

Memberships roll-over each year for those under 26, after which time you will need to pay for your membership and renew annually. Click here to join or renew, to ensure that you can nominate this year.

BOARD NOMINATIONS

There are two positions available this year, with current preferred areas of skill being in: IT/Management and Youth Arts.

Our Board members come from a range of disciplines. At the moment, we’re looking for our Board members to have skills and experience in the above areas. If you have experience in one or more of those areas, you could make a valuable contribution to our board and participate in:

  • Board meetings – These are held up to eight times per year, usually every two months on a weeknight at 6pm
  • Strategic planning – We hold up to two strategic planning sessions each year
  • Social events – We usually host one or two social events each year for our staff, members, associates and Propel Board members
  • Exhibitions and launches – We run a wide range of interactive programs and projects, and encourage Propel Board members to attend these events.

Propel is a not-for-profit organisation, so our board positions are unpaid – but our board members enjoy making a difference to an organisation that exists to help young people. Board members also enjoy the experience, interactions and professional development opportunities that being on a board can create.

HOW TO NOMINATE

If you’re interested in applying for a position, please complete the Board Nomination Form (click to download) and email it with your CV to hello@propel.org.au by 4pm Thursday 17 March 2016.

We look forward to receiving your board nomination and hope to work with you to make a difference to youth arts in WA.
