Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development Coordinator Vacancy 20/01/10

Community Arts Network Western Australia is looking to employ an Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development Coordinator to facilitate self-determined Indigenous cultural development in the Southern Wheatbelt region through developing opportunities in partnership with other stakeholders.

The role includes developing sustainable Indigenous driven arts and cultural development projects that will impact positively on community wellbeing. The geographical focus includes the towns of Brookton, Pingelly, Narrogin and Wagin.

The position will comprise a full time (37.5 hrs per week) 2 year contract and a salary range of $55 – $60K dependant on qualifications and experience. The position requires a person with a demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and community development, highly developed interpersonal, written and oral skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage projects.
