Nominate a creative young person for the Propel Youth Arts Create! Award 17/02/10

Do you know a creative young person who has made an valuable contribution to the arts community and think they deserve recognition for their work? Here is your chance! Nominate a creative young person for the Propel Youth Arts Create! Award in this years WA Youth Awards.
Presented for the first time at the WA Youth Awards, the Propel Youth Arts Create! Award recognises young West Australians aged 12 – 25 years who have made significant contribution through drama, visual arts, technical support, debating, literary pursuits and music.
The award provides a great opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of creative young people and showcase their achievements to a wider public. An example of this may be a creative young person who:
- Has both participated in and supported the arts
- Made a particular effort to mentor young artists
Propel is also very excited to announce young artist Kartika Ahmad who will be creating a unique work for all the WA Youth Award category winners.
Kartika was one of 23 young artists from around Western Australia who undertook an 8 week mentorship program and showcased her work at Propel’s launch of National Youth Week 2009.
Nominate an outstanding young creative today!
The Propel Youth Arts Create! Award winner will receive:
- $2000 cash prize
- An unique limited edition work by young artist Kartika Ahmad
- Finalists and winners will also be widely promoted through local media and receive extensive publicity and networking opportunities.

Key Dates
- Entries close 5pm Friday 5 March 2010
- Judging will take place in Perth on Wednesday 24 March 2010
- Finalists will be announced during National Youth Week 2010 (10 – 18 April 2010)
- Winners will be announce the the WA Youth Awards gala ceremony on Friday 16 July 2010
