A still from Still Dear, 2010 by Ocea Sellar
Expression of Interest
In Transit Screen Spaces, Wellington Street Bus Station are located within two disused shop spaces in the Wellington Street Bus Station. Every two weeks, video and new media works from four emerging artists/groups will screen, looped, from 6am to 11.30pm every day. The project is predicted to run from May 31 to November 14, 2010.
In Transit is an initiative of Foodchain, the City of Perth’s all-ages music and arts program. The project’s aims are twofold;
- To provide emerging young artists with much needed exhibition space, and;
- To enliven disused, publically accessible sites with exciting and innovative contemporary arts programming.
Three exhibition periods from May 31-July 11 have already been programmed. Content is sought for a further nine exhibition periods, running until November 14.
