WA Youth Awards - Create! Propel Youth Art Award

WA Youth Awards rewards outstanding young Western Australians aged 12 – 25 years, youth groups and youth organisations for their achievements and contribution to the State.

The WA Youth Awards 2011 categories were:

  • Minister for Youth’s Most Outstanding Youth Worker Award
  • Innovate! BHP Billiton Award
  • Motivate! Woodside Award
  • Recreate! Office for Youth Award
  • Create! Propel Youth Art Award
  • Activate! Department of Environment and Conservation Award
  • Educate! Edith Cowan University Award
  • Participate! Commissioner for Children and Young People Award

About the Create! Propel Youth Arts Award

The Create! Propel Youth Arts Award celebrates the achievements of young people’s contribution to the community across a range of art forms including drama, music, visual arts, writing, debating and arts management.

What do you win?

  • Winners in each category receive a $2000 cash prize and are presented with a trophy at the gala ceremony on Saturday 9th April 2011.
  • The WA Young Person of the Year also receives return airfares for two people to a European destination, courtesy of Singapore Airlines and the Department for Communities’ Office for Youth.
  • Finalists receive two complimentary tickets to the gala ceremony and will receive a framed certificate
  • Finalists and winners will be widely promoted through the media. Extensive publicity is gained, including ongoing promotion during the year and networking opportunities.
