To the question "are women funny?" this workshop answers with another question: "are you joking?!" This playful workshop, run by Alyce Wilson, helps aspiring funny females take their ideas from the page to the stage. Guided writing strategies and exercises will lead to a draft of your very own comedic masterpiece. Whether you want to perform or write, please bring some material to share and work on.

ABOUT THE LITERARY YOUTH FESTIVAL (LYF)
The Literary Youth Festival (LYF) is the first youth-led festival of literature in Western Australia, run by young people in the Literary Youth Festival Planning Subcommittee of National Youth Week.
LYF seeks to raise the voices of young poets, bloggers, playwrights, graphic novelists, novelists and performers. LYF is about creating more opportunities for young aspiring writers nourishing of a literary movement in WA.
This initiative, like many literary ventures in WA, would not be possible without the tireless work of people within the literary community – along with organisations such as WritingWA, The Centre for Stories and Spoken Word Perth – all of whom are constantly making magic happen in the sometimes literal but always literary sense.
