Solar Beam is a DIY “off-grid” electronics workshop.
Participants connect simple parts together "in the wild" to form a basic solar engine circuit that they can experiment with and take home. Participants use little percussive machines to compose patterns and rhythms depending on the intensity of light hitting the solar panels. The motor's action can be controlled by the local environment, which creates different sonic events depending on materials and locations.
Join Nathan Thompson and learn how to make electricity from scratch!
