Everyday Physics – Illuminating Nature

  • State Library of WA 25 Francis Street Perth, WA, 6000 Australia (map)

Physics isn't just something that happens in labs with expensive equipment, or on remote mountaintops with big telescopes – it's something you can do, right here, right now.

All you need to do is keep your eyes open and hold onto your sense of wonder. Flip toast. Watch coffee dry. Put a raisin in lemonade.

Be curious.

Presented by Petr Lebedev, researcher on Dr Karl's Outrageous Acts of Science, this presentation is about everyday phenomena which are interesting, quirky, and wonderful.

About Petr Lebedev:

I'm Petr Lebedev, and I'm doing a PhD in physics.  I am endlessly fascinated by nature and want to share this passion with my audience. I have been a researcher on Dr Karl's show with the discovery channel, appeared on ABC Radio National, and on numerous podcasts.
