Portraits and Poses – Makeup and Fashion Photography

  • The Blue Room Theatre 53 James Street Perth, WA, 6000 Australia (map)

Collaborate on a fashion photography shoot with two emerging names in the industry.

Tasha Tong will teach you how to push the boundaries of portrait and fashion photography, and Jessie Appleyard will demo a makeup look, sharing her knowledge on what it takes to stand out creatively.

They'll teach you about networking, what it means to be a slasher & how the industry is changing. You'll then get to share your vision for your work by creating moodboards & collaborating in your very own shoot to finish the day with a bang!

  • Photography participants should bring own camera gear
  • Makeup participants should bring own makeup or kit
  • Participants may also bring along a model to work with.

About the facilitators:

Tasha Tong and Jessie Appleyard are young, (soy) cherry milkshake-loving creative professionals based in Perth.

Tasha has recently graduated from Curtin University with a degree in photography & illustration design. She is interested in creating images that are raw and reflective of connection, and has collaborated with local brands and magazines.

Jessie began her creative career with a degree in fashion & contemporary arts. She is now a makeup artist & art director that has had work published in numerous magazines, directed her own fashion shows & has most recently returned from working the AW18 circuit at New York Fashion week.

Their frequent collaborative projects aim to create a space in the fashion industry where people feel valid, understood & empowered.
