Bedroom Producers

  • State Library of Western Australia 25 Francis Street Perth, WA, 6000 Australia (map)

Have you been busy producing beats in your bedroom? Do you want to learn how to?

WOMPP (Women of Music Production Perth) will introduce participants to the process of electronic music production. Learn how to navigate Ableton Live on your laptop, program beats using MIDI and make your own instruments with samples. This workshop is suitable for beginners and emerging bedroom producers who want to take their music production skills to the next level, and is open to young people of all gender identities.

WOMPP is a female run label, booking agency and Ableton user group community. WOMPP gives opportunity to female, transgender and non-binary music makers to share, discuss and showcase music production within the broader Australian music community. Alongside the record label and booking agency, WOMPP curates monthly community meetings and showcases.

When: Wednesday 17 April, 1pm - 2.30pm
