Can creativity be cultivated in a similar way to tree planting, leaving seeds? Can we use our failures as a compost to our creative soils? Enter the blanket fort, and find out.
Fruits of Failure is a participatory performance installation which reconsiders how failure can form a positive process of growth that fuels the creative process. Participants are invited into a homemade blanket fort, created and facilitated by interdisciplinary artists from KAN Collective. In this gentle space of reflection and critical engagement, participants and facilitators will discuss stories of failure, embarrassment and creative-block.
After KickstART Festival Day, the Fruits Of Failure blanket fort will be displayed in the Discovery Lounge at the State Library of WA.
The State Library of WA is open from 9.00am until 8.00pm Mondays to Thursdays; 9.00am until 5.30pm Fridays; and 10am until 5.30pm on weekends.
