Stephen King’s classic novel Carrie is the latest horror-themed stage show to come from Dark Psychic Productions – and it’s being brought to life as a musical.
Directed by Ryan S. McNally at Phoenix Theatre, the story follows town misfit Carrie White, bullied by the popular crowd while remaining virtually invisible to everyone else. At home, she is at the mercy of her over-protective and abusive mother – but Carrie soon discovers with her coming-of-age that she has telekinetic powers. So when humiliated by her classmates at the high school prom, she wreaks havoc on everyone and everything in her path.
Carrie plays at 8pm October 6, 7, 13, 14, 19, 20 and 21 with a 2pm matinee October 15. Tickets are $25 adults, $22 concessions, plus transaction fees – book at www.darkpsychicproductions.com. You can also follow the Facebook event page for news and updates.
Raffle and program sales will go to the Motor Neurone Disease Association of WA.
Please note: the show contains coarse language, sexual references, violence and haze and flashing light effects.
