KickstART Festival Closing

KickstART FESTIVAL Closing

On Saturday 21 April, our Youth Week WA celebrations will return to the Perth Cultural Centre just one week after KickstART Festival Day, as we shine a light on the creative talents of young people in the Western Australian electronic music industry in a free concert for all to enjoy.

The Youth Week WA KickstART Festival is presented by Propel Youth Arts WA and is funded by the State Government of Western Australia. The KickstART Festival is also supported by Lotterywest and the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority.

Music Line-Up

The line-up for the KickstART Festival Closing concert was curated in collaboration with WOMPP (Women of Music Production Perth). WOMPP help to provide a platform for local female, transgender and non-binary music makers to share and discuss music production:

Bella Ndayikeze
Breaking Waves
Hi, OK. Sorry.
Yung Squid

This incredible music line-up will be brought to you live in the James Street Amphitheatre, on the amazing Desert Feet mobile truck stage.

Desert Feet Inc is an incorporated association that aims to support development of indigenous music and to bring indigenous music to mainstream Australia. The heart of their business is Desert Feet Tour – tours to remote indigenous communities to engage through music on a number of levels: tuition, recording and performing. It is through this process of cultural exchange through music, dance and the performing arts that the organisation will achieve its vision to contribute to reconciliation. Desert Feet Inc has also developed Desert Feet Records, a not for profit record label for the purpose of supporting and promoting indigenous music from signed artists, and Desert Feet Productions, which is the recording and staging facility on the state-of-the-art converted truck.

Propel Youth Arts WA is proud to partner with Desert Feet to present live music in the heart of Northbridge for the KickstART Festival Day and Closing Concert events.
