The Festival is a great place to meet all the awesome young people who are making art, organising workshops, and stepping out to create Perth’s future art scene. KickstART Festival volunteers play a key role in making it all possible, and gain firsthand experience of everything that goes into making an arts festival happen.
The KickstART Festival is the flagship event for Youth Week WA, celebrating the positive contributions young people make to their communities.
Presented by Propel Youth Arts WA in celebration of Youth Week WA, the KickstART Festival is a massive series of youth happenings taking over the cultural heart of the city during April. While some events are just for young people, there are other events that the whole community can enjoy that showcase the talents of young people in WA. Driven by young people with big ideas, the KickstART Festival offers inspiration to all who participate.
KickstART will run from 13 – 20 April and includes the KickstART Festival Day (April 13), workshops, forums, exhibitions and more!
Propel is searching for volunteers to assist in a range of areas throughout April. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to get on board with all of the festival, including Market Day, workshops and forums. We are on the lookout for enthusiastic and motivated volunteers to help us out with things like:
· Communicating with, directing and assisting patrons
· Helping artists run workshops/activities
· Looking after exhibitions
· Front of house tasks (keeping a door list for workshops and performances)
· Checking in artists on Festival Day
· Distributing programs
· Promoting the Festival
To register you must be aged 15 or above. Simply fill in your details and Propel will get in touch with you with information on the volunteer team building and briefing day, and your volunteer roster. Registrations close 5pm on Monday 4 March 2019.
