Perth Festival are currently taking Expressions of Interest for a number of different internships.
“We are an annually curated multi-genre arts festival in Perth, WA that showcases the very best of national and international film, theatre, circus, dance, literature and music. The Lotterywest Film season runs from November to April and the Perth Festival runs across February and March, but we are busy all year planning and preparing for delivery. Our team expands from a core team of 27 to over 200 at the peak of Festival – creating a unique, fast paced and ever-changing working environment.
We are offering a variety of unpaid internships for the 2020 Perth Festival in line with the details listed below. All of our internships are focused on ensuring valuable learning experiences are acquired through exposure to practical workplace examples. We work with a number of different education institutes to ensure specific course criteria is met and support students with collating reports as required.
We will be looking for students that can demonstrate exceptional communication skills, strong computer literacy, creative problem solving skills and of course a passion for their field of study and / or the arts / events industry.
Our internships are highly sought after and the strongest applicants will be invited to go through a competitive process that involves at least one interview and a practical exercise. Working through this process is important learning in itself and we will provide constructive feedback to all applicants who successfully secure interviews.
We actively strive for diversity in our teams. Qualified applicants are considered for internships without regard to age, sex, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, or disability.”
