Paving new pathways into the performing arts sector in WA, To The Front is a new workshop series designed for and taught exclusively by Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and/or First Nations artists.

Propel Youth Arts WA as part of the Youth Week WA KickstART Festival are excited to announce a new writing mentorship program for young writers led by prolific writer and poet Maddie Godfrey. To write is a form of mapping; mapping our stories, our movements and our thoughts as they traverse our headspaces. This mentorship opportunity invites a small group of young writers to become cartographers of their own narratives.

As members of the 2021 Youth Week WA Planning Committee you will play a key role in the planning and decision-making for the design and programming of the Festival. This is your chance to learn what it takes to build and manage a youth arts event, we want you to help design the festival that you want to see. It’s a great opportunity to gain leadership experience in a friendly environment where you can help promote young people’s ideas and experiences to the broader community.

WAYTCo is offering two six-week training courses in Direction for Opera with Brendan Hanson and Design for Opera with Zoe Atkinson... and at the end of the course a director and production designer will be appointed for West Australian Opera production of The Nightingale!

Young people aged 12-25 are invited to attend a series of free online workshops which will give them the skills to create their very own podcast. Voice Box Media Training will facilitate three online workshops which will guide participants through the essentials of podcasting, from storytelling to recording and interview techniques.

Calling all young people interested in performance and theatre! 🎭 WA Youth Theatre Company is inviting WA locals aged 13-26 to learn, rehearse, perform and win in their new Lounge Room Project. The Lounge Room Project will bring you 8 weeks of FREE professional tutorials to help you develop your own original work at home.

This is an exciting and dynamic role that will see the successful candidate foster and progress the health and vibrancy of the arts in the Armadale district. It will include identifying and facilitating arts initiatives across a range of art forms that connect and build on the strengths of the community, working collaboratively with internal departments and community groups and progressing the development of the City's Arts Collection.
