Register for the 2016 Sketchbook Project!

What sparks your imagination? What’s your story?

Propel Youth Arts WA is inviting young people, aged 12 to 25, from across Western Australia, to participate the 2016 Sketchbook Project. Click here to register!

From DaVinci, to Beethoven, to Hemmingway, to Kahlo, sketchbooks have provided a space for the greatest works and stories of our time to grow. Tell your own story using a sketchbook, provided free of charge by Propel Youth Arts WA!

Images: drawings, collages, photographs. Language: poems, recipes. Numbers: scientific formulae, mathematical equations. The sky is the limit. Express yourself in a unique way!

This year there are two ways you can get involved, either online with Propel OR with WA libraries including Bunbury, Broome, Esperance, Karratha, Katanning, Mandurah, Northam, South Hedland, and the State Library of Western Australia!

How do I get involved this year?

Check in with one of the above libraries to see how they’re getting involved or get in touch with Propel Youth Arts WA. Remember register via this online form to get started.

Fill your sketchbook with what ever your heart desires! We want to see drawing, painting, sketches, intricate math formula, cookie recipes, poetry, collage – if you can fit it in the book we want it!

Share your progress with us online and help inspire each other, using the hashtags #sketchbookprojectwa and #propelyoutharts

We must have all submissions by 5.00pm on Friday 1 April 2016. Either return your completed sketchbook back to your participating library by this date or mail it back to Propel prior to this time at the following address:
