Propel Youth Arts WA is looking for a an emerging artist or creative worker to provide the creative programming impetus and artistic direction for WA Youth Week (formerly National Youth Week) within the Perth Metropolitan Area.
This role has been developed with the intent of providing an emerging Western Australian artist to provide the creative programming impetus and artistic direction for WA Youth Week (formerly National Youth Week) within the Perth Metropolitan Area, which runs for 10 days – 13 to 22 April – in 2018.
Tapping into their established industry networks and creative experience, the Creative Coordinator will consult with the WA Youth Week Planning Committee and Propel Youth Arts WA, to develop a theme, format and key activities for WA Youth Week – including free workshops, forums, KickstART Festival Day and other special events – that are inclusive, accessible and engage young people aged 12 - 26.
Throughout their engagement with Propel, the Creative Coordinator will work closely with the Project Development Officer, who will manage key administration duties and produce the events of WA Youth Week, along with the Executive Director, Operations Manager, interns, volunteers, and partner organisations.
