About Youth Week WA

14-21 April 2023 and 5-12 April 2024

Youth Week WA (formerly National Youth Week WA), is an annual statewide celebration of the contributions of young people to our community throughout Western Australia.

More than 100 events take place across WA each year, many of which have received a Youth Week WA grant provided by the State Government of Western Australia through the Department of Communities.

Youth Week WA 2024 will run from 5 to 12 April and aims to provide young people aged 12–25 years with opportunities to express ideas, raise important issues, make decisions and showcase their talents and contributions; give the wider community the opportunity to listen to young people and celebrate the positive contributions they make to the community; and raise awareness on issues of concern to young people.

The Youth Week WA 2023 theme was: Becoming - With Others, We Dream

This year, we celebrate flourishing both individually and with our community, with a focus on how we can dream ourselves a better world, and then use our skills, love, care, and knowledge to bring others up with us to help realise it. Actions and achievements of the individual are nothing without the context of their community to become in the world, you have to dream with others.
