MYAC expressions of interest are now open!

Are you passionate about your community and making change? The Minister for Youth is seeking young Western Australians to step up and join her advisory council.

Apply today to join MYAC, have your voice heard and shape the future of WA! The MYAC provides advice to the Minister on topics that are important to young people or that the State Government is working on, based on their own experiences and their unique perspective as a young person.

Applications close at 10pm Thursday, 20 November 2023.

How can I apply?

To apply, please complete the online form, upload your video response to Question 3, complete and upload the MYAC Consent Form, and attach a current CV or resume by 10pm Thursday, 12 October 2023.

More about MYAC:

MYAC has provided advice to the Minister for Youth on a range of topics. For example, they prepared a paper detailing how the State Government could strengthen support for young people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Asexual and other diverse sex, sexuality, and gender (LGBTIQA+).

The Government took on board their feedback and provided funding to the Youth Affairs Council of Western Australia (YACWA) to establish an advocacy body for LGBTIQA+ young people in WA. As a result, the Youth Pride Network was created and works to ensure all LGBTIQA+ young people are fully included, accepted, and celebrated by their communities
