EOIs to participate in Performing Lines WA’s Producer Lab are now open.

The PLWA Producer Lab is a capacity building and professional development opportunity for emerging, independent producers or self-producing artists in Western Australia, both metro and regionally based.

The Lab will bring together a cohort of 12 emerging producers for a ‘nuts and bolts’ style traineeship in producing, based on Performing Lines’ method of learn-by-practice and next-level thinking.

Delivered online, the first 4 sessions will focus on the practical, leading to a fifth and final 1-on-1 mentorship session. Participating producers will work on their own project idea, applying templates and learnings shared by Performing Lines, to emerge with a prepared project plan ready to pursue by the Lab’s conclusion.

Each producer will be paid $1,000 to participate in the Lab.

Partner organisations with Performing Lines WA in bringing together the cohort and providing the mentorship sessions are Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company, CircuitWest and The Blue Room Theatre. This new initiative is supported by Lotterywest.
